This treatment is great for clients who may not be eligible for BBL and is great for those stubborn pigmented lesions.

A few days of brown spots darkening which take 7-10 days to resolve but can be covered with makeup.

This treatment may require 2-3 sessions if it is especially stubborn pigment, spaced 4 weeks apart.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds or fake tan for 2-4 weeks  
  • Active ingredients such as retinol or exfoliants to prevent irritation

  • Cold compress to reduce redness or discomfort  
  • Avoid heat such as hot showers, saunas, spas, or exercise for 48 hours  
  • Avoid active ingredients such a retinol or exfoliation for 5 days. We sell topical ointments to assist with the healing process 
  • Do not pick or scrub the skin 

Contraindications

Who is Age Spot Removal not for?

  • Unprotected sun exposure for 2 weeks pretreatment
  • Light sensitising medications (please inform your therapist of any current medications)
  • History of skin cancer or precancerous lesions (must have a recent skin cancer check)
  • Pregnancy
  • Certain autoimmune diseases
  • Dark or very tanned skin types
  • Keloid or hypertrophic scarring
  • Active cold sores
